When I went into the bird bath bed to plant the upper right Millennium Allium Ornamental Onion plant, I tripped over the wire connected to the frog pump and the top of the bird bath fell to the ground and broke into several pieces. Need to find a replacement for the top to hold the frog pump.

Gardening Diary – September 24, 2019

Yesterday, we forgot to shut off the water to the hose which we watered the new plants and Strawberry tower. The pressure built up and blew a hole in the hose. We purchased 2 75 ft collapsible hoses to replace the latter hose and the hose in the front yard.

Sharon replaced the hose in the backyard and watered the new plants and the Strawberry tower.

After this, she continued to prune the Wintergreen Boxwoods [Buxus microphylla var. koreana ‘Wintergreen’] along side of the Rose bed.

Continued to weed the front of the left side of the back bed. Used ??? on the stumps of the weedy bushes that were cut.

The products of Sharon’s harvesting of yesterday and today are shown above.

Note there are 2 dark Tomatoes in the forefront which Sharon was able to identify as Cherokee Purple Tomatoes [Solanum lycopersicum ‘Cherokee purple’].

As she did not knowingly plant any Cherokee Purple Tomatoes, she talked to the proprietor of Minge’s Nursery who said that they did have Cherokee Purple Tomatoes and that it was possible that some of the labels were exchanged. Some kids had taken labels out of the pots and possibly they were replaced in the wrong pots.
