Yesterday’s very early snowfall started to melt in the sunny afternoon. The temperatures hovered around freezing in the afternoon and dropped to around 14o F overnight. This behavior in the temperatures caused the formation of some very long icicles off the roof of the house and in some of the plants. The following pictures show the icicles on the Flowering Quinces [Chaenomeles speciosa] in the front porch bed.
