Gardening Diary – August 3, 2022

Using the reciprocating saw, cut 5 limbs off of the Hardy Bensonhurst Purple Fig Tree [Ficus carica].

Sharon and I then continued weeding in the Butterfly Bush bed and we pruned many branches off of the Kaleidoscope Butterfly Bush [Buddleia davidii  ‘Bicolor’]. We have decided to remove the Kaleidoscope Butterfly Bush. Unfortunately, a tree had fallen in Dave’s yard and he was moving the branches to his gulley. There was no room remaining in the gulley to empty our wagon.

Sometime this week, we picked up bunch of pieces of wood (e.g., sides of Noah’s bed, posts used to keep covers of beds down, edging, etc.) and took the load along with Sharon’s broken walker to the Knox County dump.
