Started to weed the right fence bed. Within the past week, with some heavy rain, the weeds have really grown.
Bridal Veil Astilbe

Planted one of the Astilbes, Bridal Veil Astilbe, that we purchased yesterday at ???. Found that the soil appears to be fertile up to a depth about 2 inches; beneath the fertile soil appears to be clay. The closer we get to the fence, it appears that the depth of the good soil decreases and then increases; it appears like the shape of a concave upward paraboloid.
Sharon finished weeding the Flowering Cherry bed and started to weed the Wisley Supreme Witch Hazel bed.
